Since then, he has appeared in the new World Cup 2010 South Africa video game, in cartoons, at the diski dance events and World Cup Tour stops all over the world.Though Zakumi just a mascot, he has developed a kind of a shy but adorable personality that has won the worlds heart already.Zakumi is a character who is a teenage leopard with an adolescent cool and unruly green dreads; the dude's got 'tude and that is the perfect fit for the incredibly cool and totally 'tud rich South African people.
The name Zakumi originates from the ISO3166-1 alpha 2 code from South Africa, which is ZA plus the word KUMI which is one of the cross language words of the many tribes of Africa meaning ten.
