Pins go up in value over time as they are mostly limited editions that will not be reproduced once the World Cup in South Africa is over. Many of the pins are already considered rare, especially the Coca-Cola World Cup pins and pin sets. Pins are a very economical to have shipped anywhere in the world due to their tiny size. I saw one footie fan marching through the streets of Pretoria, a few days ago wearing what appeared to be an entire suit made of just pins. It must of weighed a ton, but he looked as proud as the Grand Master Poohbah of the great international footie parade.
